Successfully complete this course to achieve the nationally recognised unit of competency HLTPHA010 Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest Stock. Learners develop the practical skills and confidence to accurately manage pharmaceutical imprest stock in hospital and health service environments, including monitoring stock levels, replenishing imprest supplies,
maintaining accurate records, and supporting the safe storage and distribution of medicines under the supervision of an authorised person.

Course Requirements
To undertake this course, participants require:
- A computer or laptop with reliable internet access
- Intermediate digital literacy skills

- Access to a hospital or health service pharmacy workplace to complete practical assessment requirements

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer

Course Delivery
This course is delivered through flexible online learning, allowing participants to complete the theory component at their own
pace while applying their learning in a real hospital or health service pharmacy workplace.
Assessment consists of:
- Assessment Task 1: Knowledge Questions
- Assessment Task 2: Workplace Project
- Assessment Task 3: Third Party Report, including:
- Demonstration of pharmaceutical imprest stock activities on at least 10 separate occasions
- Completion of a 240-hour workplace logbook
Participants are provided with 90 days’ access to the online learning platform to complete their training and assessment.
Additional access can be arranged if required.
Throughout the course, participants are supported by an experienced SWC Trainer and Assessor who provides guidance,
feedback and assistance as required.
Course Outcome
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for HLTPHA010 Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest Stock.
