What are apprenticeships and traineeships?

Apprenticeships and traineeships are formal, paid employment arrangements that combine on the job learning with structured training delivered by a registered training organisation (RTO).

They are available across more than 500 occupations in 50 industries and can be undertaken full-time, part-time or school based. The term Australian Apprentice includes both apprentices and trainees.

People of all ages and backgrounds can participate, no prior qualifications are required, provided minimum working age requirements are met.

Apprenticeships
